Christmas Day Forty Four

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to have a renewed sense of love for God, His Word, His people; for revival in my own life, family and Church; for revival in God’s people throughout the U. S. of A. and the world; because the gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.

“For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.” 1 Thessalonians 1:5 (KJV)

Christmas Day Forty Five

What do I want for Christmas today?

I did this one other day, but closer to last Christmas than this coming one; so I want to do it again.

I want to know what, those of you who come and read this quite often, want for Christmas today.

Write your answers in the comments if you want to share.

Christmas Day Forty Six

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to always desire the best of God, and His Son for my family, my friends, my neighbors, any who might be my enemy; and for my Nation (the U. S. of A.) and her leaders, and those yet to come.

Christmas Day Forty Seven

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to always be the type of man who will listen to and accept the wise instruction and teaching from those who know better than I on a subject; and to live in the instruction and wisdom given me.

“Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.” Proverbs 9:9 (KJV)

Christmas Day Forty Eight

What do I want for Christmas today?

I do want the candidate that I have chosen to vote for to be the next President of the United States of America; however, if that candidate is not chosen, then I want to continue being faithful to God through His Son Jesus Christ in His wisdom and grace – praying for the President of this nation, their salvation and the saving of this nation.

“Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.”  (Says wisdom) Proverbs 8:34 (KJV)

Christmas Day Forty Nine

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to be faithful in carrying out my responsibility as a citizen of this world, and a citizen of my Nation [U. S. of A.] in going to the voting booth on Tuesday November 8, 2016, and casting my ballot, for the candidate and candidates who best represent the Biblical/Christian worldview; and to be faithful to my God and His Word no matter who is chosen by the people of said Nation; that God may show Himself awesome, and that His Word is stedfast and sure.

“Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” Psalm 33:8-9 (KJV)

Christmas Day 50

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to always be faithful in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and to never balk, or bail my responsibilities as a Christian man who loves the Lord Jesus and is expectantly awaiting His coming.

“For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.” 1 Thessalonians 1:8 (KJV)

Christmas Day Fifty and One

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to always be open, praising and thankful; to the Spirit of God to work in me, through my family, friends, Church, work, recreation, troubles, trials, sorrow, and strife to make me a sanctified vessel for the glory of Jesus Christ.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (KJV)

Christmas Day Fifty and Two

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to be more knowledgeable about the return of the Lord Jesus, and to aid others in being ready for His return in the clouds to take His chosen, redeemed to the place He has prepared for those who love Him.

“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13 (KJV)

Also read John 14:1-6; and 1 Corinthians 2:9

Christmas Day Fifty and Three

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to grow and abound in love for my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus; and to love all others as God does; especially as the coming of the Lord Jesus is getting closer.

“Now God Himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you. And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: to the end He may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.” 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 (KJV)

Christmas Day Fifty and Four

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want my life to bear the fruits of the Spirit of God, and the word of God working effectively in me that others might come to faith in Jesus Christ for the honor and glory of God.

“For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.” 1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NKJV)

Christmas Day Fifty and Five

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to let Christians around the world know that Jesus Christ is Lord, and He has all the problems of your life and this world in His hands, and that there is no need to fear or dread; He is still God, He is sovereign and He loves you; and I want those who do not know Him to know that He died on a cross for your sins, was buried, and He arose and came out of the grave alive, and is today alive waiting to come and set up His righteous kingdom on earth.

“For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God; and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.” 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 (KJV)

Christmas Day Fifty and Six

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to always have a clear mind, that I might make clear decisions, that are not affected by some type of drug, fear or hysteria; but to make that decision based on fact, truth, and through the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).

“It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.” Proverbs 31:4-5 (KJV)

Christmas Day Fifty and Seven

What do I want for Christmas today?

It is the Lord’s Day once again.  I want to be filled with the Spirit of God today, to walk with Him, and to be a vibrant, faithful, diligent, fervent praying, witnessing servant of God; and always looking forward to that day when I see Jesus face to face.

“Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.” Psalm 149:5-9 (KJV)

Christmas Day Fifty and Eight

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want my family and friends to always be safe in the LORD, and to trust the LORD, and to never fear what mankind or one man or woman can do to them.

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.” Proverbs 29:25 (KJV)

Christmas Day Fifty and Nine

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to be rich, not in the material things like gold, silver, money, houses or land; but rich in God, eternal life, integrity, honesty, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, meekness, mercy, grace, self control.

I would rather be rich in God, and be financially poor; than to have the wealth of all the world, and be without God.

“Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than one perverse in his ways, though he be rich.” Proverbs 28:6 (NKJV)

Christmas Day 60

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to be wise to see, and recognize all evil when I see it, and to hide myself from it; and to expose evil wherever it raises it ugly head.

“A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.” Proverbs 27:12 (KJV)

Sense and Non-Sense

Christmas Day Sixty One

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to always realize that children; no matter what their age; in the womb, after they are born, until they have gone; are a blessing, a heritage of the LORD, and that God has given us the children, and grandchildren to bless us.

“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” Psalm 127:3-5 (KJV)

Christmas Day Sixty Two

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to live in this nation, and for this nation to be a righteous nation, and lead by righteous leaders with a President who will lead in righteousness, and his rule be established in righteousness which is only through submission to the cross of Jesus Christ, His Spirit and His Word.

“Take away the dross from silver, and it will go to the silversmith for jewelry. Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness.” Proverbs 25:4-5 (NKJV)

Christmas Day Sixty Three

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to be revived by the Word of God and the Spirit of God that I might walk with Him and glorify His name today and always.

“Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to covetousness. Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, and revive me in Your way.” Psalm 119:36-37 (NKJV)

Christmas Day Sixty Four

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want the Lord Jesus to be honored, revered, worshiped, praised and glorified in my life, in my home, and in my Church today, and everyday; and in the lives  of every Christian in the world.

“Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.” Colossians 4:15 (KJV)

Christmas Day Sixty Five

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want the family of my friend who passed away last Sunday to be comforted, encouraged and strengthened today as we go to his graveside service, and as God’s word is spoken, the gospel of Christ is proclaimed, and hearts and lives to be changed.

Last night at the visitation, hundreds of friends, and neighbors came in to honor Doyle, and to comfort and encourage the family.

Christmas Day Sixty Six

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want the rest which I received last night to be sufficient for my Bus trip this morning, and for all the children in each bus to arrive safely, and trouble free.

Christmas Day Sixty Seven

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want to live my life with the leadership of the Lord, speaking wholesome words which encourage, motivate, and draw others to the Lord Jesus; to speak the word of God in the power, and wisdom of God.

“When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.” Colossians 3:4 (KJV)

Christmas Day Sixty Eight

What do I want for Christmas today?

I want, wanted, and have received some encouragement, hope, and strength from the LORD, and pray you will receive it as well from the following words…

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.” Psalm 91:1-8 (KJV)
