For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Though the Lord no longer requires blood sacrifices; the slaying of lambs, bulls, goats, etc.; we are still “Beseeched” that is strongly encouraged; to make our own “Bodies” a living sacrifice unto the Lord. It is to be a sacrifice “Holy, acceptable unto God”. That truly means that once we are a child of God, born again through faith in Christ Jesus; that our bodies are not our own. We are bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20; 7:23).
