Life Restored Through Jesus

While He spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped Him, saying, “My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay Thy hand upon her, and she shall live.” And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did His disciples. And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind Him, and touched the hem of His garment: for she said within herself, “If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole.” But Jesus turned Him about, and when He saw her, He said,
“Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.”
And the woman was made whole from that hour. And when Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, He said unto them,
“Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth.”
And they laughed Him to scorn. But when the people were put forth, He went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land. Matthew 9:18-26

Words of Jesus; Son of God, God the Son – 083120

“Now it came to pass on a certain day, that He went into a ship with His disciples: and He said unto them,
‘Let us go over unto the other side of the lake.’
And they launched forth. But as they sailed He fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, ‘Master, Master, we perish.’ Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And He said unto them,
‘Where is your faith?’
And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, ‘What manner of Man is this! For He commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey Him.”  Luke 8:22-25  (KJB)

Approved By Whom?

“‘For letters,’ say they, ‘Weighty and powerful; but bodily presence weak, and his speech contemptible.’  Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such also in deed when we are present.
For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.  But we will not boast of things without measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God has distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
For we stretch not ourselves beyond as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in the gospel of Christ: not boasting of things without measure, of other men’s labors; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, to preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand.
But he that glories, let him glory in the Lord.  For not he that commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.”  2 Corinthians 10:10-18
