There is one thing that I have discovered over the past year, and that is that I have found something that I really enjoy doing, and that is blogging. I do not think that when I began on January 9, 2006 that I even had a purpose or reason for starting FIRE AND HAMMER blog, but I believe the Lord gave me one soon after.
I read a statistic that there are 1 billion people that have internet service or have access to it. That clicked in my mind. I read many blogs which seemed always negative about the SBC and such as that. That really became discouraging to me. If there is 1 billion people who have access to the internet, then it would appear to me that Christians should be using it to lift up the name of Jesus Christ, presenting Him as crucified, buried, rising again, and soon to return. That is what I have endeavored to do. Only God knows how many have been touched by the words that have been written here.
There are many other blogs which glorify Jesus, and point to Him. These are some I want to recommend to the readers of Fire and Hammer. I have recently discovered two which are connected with Pyromaniacs. These are Biblical Christianity, and …And His ministers a flame of fire. I have not yet put them as a link here, but will soon.
There are others which I linked with from Heavenly Heartburn, and they are ChristianLifeAsATruckDriver; then, there is Gordon’s wife’s blog, Byway Blessings. Another one from Gordon Cloud’s site is, GodsLove&StoriesOfThePast
.
There are many wise words which are written on these blogs. There are many others which I could tell you about, but I will save that for another time; soon. There is truth, encouragement, and blessing in these. Let’s pray that we continue down this path, and not get away from seeking the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God bless you all
Thank you so much for the link and your gracious words. I enjoy reading your blog as well. It is truly one which lifts up Jesus. There are so many things we can say and do to encourage others and uplift the name of Christ. I am always gratful for the opportunities he gives to me
