Why I as a Christian vote the way I do

I was asked again today why I as a Christian vote the way I do.

I won’t try to convince you to vote the way I do but I can tell you why.

There are two basic interpretations of the world that have shaken out (loosely) into two national parties. Neither is perfect: neither is “God’s Party” but the distance between the two is powerful and worthy of a bit of history.

Words of Jesus; Son of God, God the Son – 090320

“And when the people were gathered thick together, He began to say,
‘This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of Man be to this generation.
