Reading Joshua 3 – 6 for today…

“And the Captain of the LORD’S host said unto Joshua, ‘Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy.’ And Joshua did so.”  Joshua 5:15 (KJB)

Who is this Man?  I am certain that when Jesus Christ was born onto this planet, and in Israel many asked that question of Him.  I have no doubt in my mind who this Man who appeared to Joshua the night before their first battle in the Promised Land is.

Who is this Man?  He is called in the New King James Bible “The Commander of the LORD’S army”.  He says that of Himself.  Joshua worships Him, falling down at His feet, without receiving any rebuke or correction.

This was not an angelic being.  He was a Christophany, and appearance of the God Man.  He is in this experience with Joshua…
